Fishing is an activity that takes place all year round. Join us in our traditional fishing boat Elltor and get the fishing experience when we fish for pollock, haddock, mackerel and coastal cod in the summer.

Lofoten is known all over the world for its long fishing traditions. Are you going to Lofoten in the summer and would you like to join a fishing trip? It is a fantastic nature experience.

We have fishing trips with our traditional fishing boat, Elltor. Here you can take part in a real fishing trip with our experienced local captain, who has been a fisherman himself. During the fishing trip, the captain shares his knowledge and tells exciting stories from the old days in the fishing village. In the summer, we get fish such as pollock, haddock, mackerel and coastal cod.

A fantastic part of the fishing experience is experiencing nature with everything from the surrounding mountains and sea, to wildlife. There is a chance to see the majestic sea eagle hovering around the boat for food or catch a glimpse of whales. Catching your own fish is an indescribable feeling. The captain filters the fish and you take it home or you can have it prepared and served at Karoline Restaurant.

Combine a fishing trip with an overnight stay in a rorbu, just as the fishermen did in the past. Rorbuer has a history that is deeply rooted in Lofoten’s fishing culture, as they were originally a seasonal residence for fishermen. We offer accommodation in first-class rorbu, all of which have originally been a traditional rorbu.
