About Francesca
Your retreat will be led by Francesca Golfetto Høye, a former professional ballet dancer and highly skilled yoga instructor. Francesca’s journey began as a ballet dancer at the prestigious Royal Ballet in London, Zurich Opera House, and Den Norske Opera & Ballett. After dedicating her early years to international stages, she discovered yoga as a powerful means of healing and transformation following an injury. Since then, she has become a certified instructor in Ashtanga (500hr RYT TT), Vinyasa, Dharma Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga, gaining authorization from the legendary Manju Jois to teach the Ashtanga Primary and Intermediate Series.
Francesca’s deep understanding of the body’s mechanics, cultivated through years of ballet, translates beautifully into her yoga practice, where she emphasizes the balance between strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Her teaching style is intuitive and holistic, drawing on her extensive background in somatic bodywork and movement to help students reconnect with their bodies and minds. Her classes blend traditional yoga techniques with a compassionate, personalized approach, creating space for both physical alignment and mental clarity. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or new to the practice, Francesca’s guidance will empower you to explore your inner landscape while deepening your yoga journey.
 
Francesca teaches daily classes in Oslo and has led yoga retreats and teacher trainings worldwide. In addition to in-person events, she offers online classes, allowing her to connect with a global audience. Her passion lies in fostering personal growth and balance, ensuring that students leave her classes feeling centered, empowered, and rejuvenated.
 
 
Event Schedule

Day 1: Arrival to Nusfjord
Thursday, May 1st, 2025

Arrive in Nusfjord and let your yoga adventure begin!

Get settled in the charming accommodations, offering warm luxury with stunning views of the surrounding fjord, harbor, and mountains.

Spend the afternoon exploring Nusfjord or indulging in the relaxing Arctic Spa experience before the retreat kicks off with a delicious Italian-inspired welcome dinner.

Your first yoga session with Francesca will take place after dinner, grounding you and setting the tone for the days ahead

Day 1 Yoga Classes –
Tension Release Yoga Flow
 
This Tension Release Yoga Flow is designed to target and alleviate tightness throughout the entire body. Incorporating a blend of active stretching, mobility exercises, nerve flossing techniques, and passive stretching, this flow aims to enhance flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and promote overall relaxation. This class is ideal for anyone looking to relieve stress, improve flexibility, and enhance overall well-being. As an athlete I know that balancing your strength workout routine with flexibility training will help enhance your sport performance as well as reduce the risk of injury.

Day 2: Energize & Explore
Friday, May 2nd, 2025
 
Begin your first full day in Nusfjord with a Fluid Flexibility Flow led by Francesca, who will guide you in an energizing practice designed to help you reconnect with your body, ease physical tension, and invite mental clarity. 
 
Following your practice, enjoy a nutritious breakfast at Restaurant Karoline packed with energy-boosting options to fuel your day. 
 
Depending on the weather, the day’s Arctic adventure will either take you on an adventure into the surrounding mountains or on a thrilling boat ride along the rugged coastline.
 
After your outdoor excursion, enjoy a light, locally inspired lunch. 
 
In the afternoon, Francesca will lead a restorative yoga session focused on deep relaxation and rejuvenation, helping you unwind after the day’s adventure. 
 
Unwind with a fresh and light dinner at Restaurant Karoline before a relaxing evening in Nusfjord’s lounge or Arctic Spa. 
 

Day 2 Yoga Classes –
Fluid Flexibility Flow

Francesca’s signature class combines active flexibility, movement fluidity and building strength within yoga asana. She focuses on engagement of core muscle groups while working on deepening postures in a safe manner that supports the body. This class is a total body flow, appropriate for all levels, with sequences designed to bring focus on alignment and to challenge the body mentally and physically.

Backbend Workshop
In this workshop we will look briefly at the anatomy involved in back bending which will include more than just the spine! We will go through a few «drills» to open the front of the body, strengthen the back and loosen shoulders and chest area. We will work with muscularly focused back bending such as salabasana (locust) and ustrasana (camel), and leveraged back bends such as dhanurasana (bow) and urdhva dhanurasana (bridge) . You should feel energized, tired and glowing after a class… and the long term benefit will be stronger core muscles, a more open back and chest and hopefully excitement for the next class

To end the class, Francesca will lead a restorative session focused on deep relaxation and rejuvenation, helping you unwind after the day’s adventure.

Day 3: Dive Deeper
Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 
 
Start the day with an invigorating Hips Release Flow designed to awaken your senses and energize your body for another day of exploration
 
After another delicious breakfast, embark on another adventure — a scenic fishing trip along the coastline or kayak tour showcasing the region’s stunning natural beauty
 
Following a wholesome lunch, you’ll have some free time to explore or simply relax and enjoy the serene surroundings
 
In the afternoon, Francesca will guide an Inversion Workshop focusing on building strength and flexibility, both physically and mentally, through deeper asanas and mindfulness practices
 
Before dinner, the group will gather for an aperitif by the lake, basking in the beauty of Lofoten’s endless daylight
 
An exquisite 3-course dinner featuring local delicacies will be served, followed by a final relaxing evening surrounded by the breathtaking nature of Nusfjord
 

Day 3 Yoga Classes –

Hips Release Flow
In this class we will focus on mobility and flexibility of the glutes and outer hips. We will work on hips opening poses such as seated compass, pigeon pose, lizard poses and frog – moving mindfully with the breath with ease, grace and stability. You will leave the class feeling more comfortable and relaxed in your body and mind!

Inversion Workshop
Learn to fly without fear. In this workshop, you’ll learn a three-step approach to headstand, forearm stand, and handstand that will transform your fear of going upside down. You’ll build strength, grace, and control as you move through the class step by step. You can expect a full body warm-up, a strength conditioning, wall work + partner work and 3 different ways to go upside down. The class will be playful and fun, transforming fear into confidence.

Day 4: Reflect and Depart
Sunday, May 4th, 2025

One last morning yoga session with Francesca will help seal the transformative experience of the retreat.

After your practice, indulge in a final breakfast before departing for the airport, feeling rejuvenated and inspired.

Day 4 Yoga Classes –

Free your spine
Invigorate your body with this heart-opening vinyasa. This deep fluid flow will prepare your body to work into backbends with a progressive opening sequence. You’ll open up more and more throughout the class and move beyond what you thought was possible. You should feel energized and glowing after class.. and the long term benefits will be stronger core muscles, a more open back and chest and a wonderful new feeling in both your body and mind.
